Everybody fucks up... basically all the time. I fuck up several times a day, and I'm sure you do to. No matter how hard you try, you can't completely eliminate fucking up from your life. How you respond to those fuckups is what makes you who you are.

There are two, and only two, ways to respond to fucking up:

1. • Admit the fuckup (at least to yourself)
     
   • Figure out HOW you fucked up
   • Figure out WHY you fucked up
   • Fix the fuckup
     
   • Don't fuck up like that again
     
     
2. Everything else.

If, when you fuck up, you resolve it by the first method (with the rare exception that you might need to fix the fuckup before you figure out how and why you fucked up... when you do it's usually BAD), you are not a fuckup.

If you do anything else, you are.
