The D.C. Zoo

The circus is coming to town. This of course means the necessary rituals must be followed, including the required letter to the editor concerning the "inherent animal abuse" which is the circus. This must be followed by references to the zoo, how unfair it is to the animals, how would YOU like to perform tricks, etc. etc.

I normally avoid the online comments on such letters like the plague, but this thread was too good to pass up. The comments were unusually well written and sane.

The quote of the day, however, goes to SagleMike:

let the animals go; there's people who belong in the zoo.

And then later on he catches his own mistake:

oops, we DO have people zoos. They're called prisons. And there's one in Washington D.C. where visitors can see bizarre creatures such as the "Democratus Bloviatus" and the "Potus Blamus Bushus" which due to waning interest, will be sent back to the Chicago zoo sooner than expected.

We lol'd.
